Sarah Stephenson

Sarah Stephenson’s research involves the optimisation and application of ‘omic’ technologies for the monitoring and assessment of aquatic ecosystems. Sarah has 11 years’ experience of metabarcoding environmental samples for DNA-based analysis of biological diversity. More recently Sarah’s research interest lies in single species detection qPCR assays for DNA monitoring coastal species including Irukandji jellyfish and endangered river shark species in Far North Queensland. Sarah is Team Leader of the Coastal Vegetation and Food Webs Team.
