Njoku Prince Obinna, PhD, is an environmental scientist currently pursuing their doctoral degree in Environmental Science at the University of Venda. Njoku Prince Obinna was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria where they developed a passion for nature and the environment at a young age. Njoku Prince Obinna completed his undergraduate studies at Federal university of Technology Owerri where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Technology with a minor in Biology. During his undergraduate studies, Njoku Prince Obinna actively engaged in various environmental campaigns, including leading a student-led initiative to reduce plastic waste on campus. After completing his undergraduate studies, Njoku Prince Obinna has worked for various environmental companies including as a research assistant at University of Venda where he gained valuable experience in environmental monitoring and assessment. This experience inspired Prince to pursue further studies in Environmental Science, leading to his current doctoral studies at the University of Venda. As a PhD student, Njoku Prince Obinna is passionate about understanding the impacts of human activities on the environment and developing sustainable solutions to mitigate them. Their research focuses on the effects of industrial pollution on local water bodies, and the potential of phytoremediation to address this issue. In addition to their academic pursuits, Prince is also actively involved in various environmental organizations and initiatives, including volunteering for local clean-up events and participating in outreach programs to raise awareness about environmental issues. Njoku prince Obinna is committed to using their knowledge and expertise to make a positive impact on the environment and society as a whole. They are a passionate advocate for sustainability and environmental stewardship and aim to inspire the next generation of environmental scientists and advocates.
